How to make a Women's Alma Handbag Making with leather?

Before You Begin:

A simple step overview rather than a full tutorial.

The Pattern Series is intended for experienced crafters; beginners can try it, but it’s not a full lesson.

Craft an elegant and versatile accessory with our Women's Alma Handbag Making .

This pattern allows you to create a sophisticated handbag that's perfect for special occasions or as a thoughtful gift. We typically offer three template options: acrylic, or kraft paper. Use the template provided to cut your leather. If you're unsure how to sew any part during the process, please contact support@babylonleather.com with photos and a description for specific guidance.

Finished Size and Recommended Leather Usage

Finished Size: Medium: 26cm x 18cm x 12cm; Small: 18cm x 13cm x 8cm Due to differences in craftsmanship and materials, the final dimensions may vary by 1-2cm, which is within the normal range of error.

Recommended Leather Usage: Approximately 3-5 square feet (for reference only). For a better crafting experience and finished project, we recommend using top grain leather or full grain leather. Depending on the project, you can choose different types, textures, and thicknesses of leather. Check out Babylon's high-quality cowhide series for more options.

Instructions

Follow these simple steps to craft your own high-quality leather project:

1.Prepare the Leather: Determine the leather according to our recommendations or your own preference.

2.Cutting and Punching: Use the provided pattern to trace and cut out the leather pieces. The pattern includes pre-punched holes, so you don't need to measure the spacing yourself.

3.Edge and Surface Treatment: Depending on the leather type, treat the edges and surface accordingly. Vegetable-tanned leather may require surface treatment, while smooth leather or nubuck leather might only need light surface work. Waxed leather may only need a simple wipe.

4.Sewing and Assembly: Prepare needle and thread, and sew the pieces together. Attach the recommended hardware, including Zipper, Bottom Studs, Square Buckle, Magnetic Snap, Grommet. Adjust the bag's shape as needed. Babylon offers a range of high-quality hardware at affordable prices. If your total order amount reaches $15, you will receive free shipping and can get matching, high-quality, and durable hardware at a very low cost.

5. Final Touches: Once assembled, your high-quality Women's Alma Handbag Making Pouch is ready for use. Enjoy the satisfaction of carrying a stylish and functional bag made with your own hands.

With this pattern, you can create a beautiful and functional clutch that makes a perfect gift.
