Babylon Leather is based in Portland, Oregon, with a supporting team and self-owned workshop in China. Our craftsmanship carries the quiet patience of seasoned leather workers. Our designs are shaped by real hands, by the voices of makers around the world. We believe design doesn't have to stand above, and craft should never feel out of reach.
The package you receive may come from the U.S. or from China. We use a hybrid shipping model - dispatching from the warehouse closest to you, whether in China or overseas. Orders are delivered via reliable air freight, with most arriving in Europe and North America within 6 to 8 days. We focus our budget where it matters most - into the leather, the hardware, and the feel in your hands. Every cent you spend should go into something that stays with you, not get lost along the way.
Our Choice to Be Transparent
You might be wondering: where are our products truly made? At first, we chose not to spotlight the place of origin, because we hoped you'd focus on the design, the materials, the feel, and the experience itself. But now, we'd rather be transparent: most Babylon Leather products are made in China. We understand that "Made in China" still carries weight for some. We don't avoid that - we face it.
We believe a piece should be judged not by where it's made, but by the care and intention behind it.
We choose to produce in China not because it's easy, but because it's right for what we value. This is where some of the most skilled leather craftsmanship lives, and where supply chains allow for quality, consistency, and care. Our production teams work with fair schedules and dignity. We don't cut corners. We don't chase the shine of "Western-made." We simply believe that good work, done with heart, speaks for itself.
