  • DIY Kits: Usually in stock and ship within 1–3 business days. In rare cases, production schedules may extend processing; if so, we’ll notify you promptly.
  • Patterns, Hardware, Leather, and Tools: Typically ship within 2–6 business days.
How fast will I get my package?

How can I become a member?
Just create an account on our website. Points will automatically appear—this includes purchase bonuses and birthday rewards.

How can I check my membership points?

What can points be used for?
Points can be redeemed for fixed dollar off coupons applied to your entire order. Each coupon is applied to one time purchases only and can be used on orders over $100.00.

How can I refer Babylon to your friends?
Simply log in to your account and click the “Rewards” button at the bottom left of the website. In the pop-up, you will find your unique referral link under “Refer your friends”.
Once your friend places a successful order as a new user, only the referrer will receive 2,000 reward points. The referred friend does not receive a discount or reward.
Please note the referred customer must be a completely new user who has never registered or subscribed before.

KIT IS MISSING PARTS OR TOOLS

My kit is missing hardware or leather pieces. What should I do?

No worries! First, check all packaging—tiny parts can be tucked away or accidentally discarded. Then take clear photos of everything you received and email them to customer service. We’ll work with LIold to ship any missing parts as quickly as possible.

My kit is missing glue. What should I do?

Glue can sometimes be removed by couriers as a hazardous item. We recommend sealing thread ends with a lighter—it’s cleaner, faster, and works great.

Quick guide:

  • Trim the thread, leaving about 2 mm.
  • Gently melt the tip with a lighter—just enough to seal.
  • Keep the flame at an angle and away from the leather to avoid marks.

If you still prefer glue, a leather-safe super glue from your local store works well.

Can I get a replacement if something is damaged or lost?

If the item is missing or has a manufacturing defect, we’ll replace it as soon as you contact us. If it’s damaged or lost after delivery, a small fee for the item and shipping may apply according to our standard rates.

Can I buy extra thread or parts?
Absolutely! To make sure everything fits perfectly, we recommend checking with Lloyd first. He’ll guide you to the right parts and the best solution for your kit. You can reach him at support@babylonleather.com.
Why are some holes missing or round in my oblique-hole kit?

In our oblique-hole DIY kits, not all stitch holes are oblique. Some areas use round holes for corners, small parts, or reinforced areas to ensure durability. Oblique holes are more delicate and usually on larger sections. Gently stretching the leather or using an oblique awl can help see and guide stitching, keeping your bag sturdy and neat.

I received fewer piping strips than expected. Is my kit missing pieces?
No, your kit likely includes the correct number of piping strips for your version. Round-hole kits (such as Lindy, Picotin, or Birkin bags) only require one strip per outside edge, so you may see fewer strips than tutorials for oblique-hole versions, which use more.

Important: Before starting, please make sure the tutorial title and content exactly match your kit’s version. This ensures that the piping length and placement are correct.

If you’ve already followed an oblique-hole tutorial and cut the piping for the bottom edge, you can contact us to purchase extra piping strips for a small additional charge. If you haven’t cut the piping yet, simply unsew and adjust according to the correct round-hole tutorial.
Are positioning tools or pins included in the kit?

No, positioning tools or pins are not included. Some influencer videos show them as a special gift for collaborators—they are not part of regular orders. These items in videos are mainly for demonstration. If you’d like to get them, you can purchase them separately; the purchase link is available on our website.

QUALITY / PRODUCT ISSUES

Why does the needle break easily?

Needle breakage usually happens in only one situation: when sewing through multiple layers of leather. To prevent this, always pull the needle out vertically—never at an angle. Make sure the needle and the hole in the material remain at a 90° angle while removing it. This ensures even force on the needle and significantly reduces the risk of breakage.

Why is the interior lining of my DIY bag kit not made of genuine leather?
Our DIY kits use top- or full-grain leather for the exterior, while the interior lining is PU (synthetic leather) to make the bag more structured, durable, and water- and dirt-resistant. You may notice the PU on the backside of the leather pieces.
PU lining allows you to store items without worrying about damage, unlike genuine leather, which needs extra care. Some stiffer leathers include additional materials inside for shape, and the PU helps stabilize the bag and improve durability. Slight color differences between the exterior and interior may occur, which also makes it easier to distinguish the inside from the outside.
Using genuine leather throughout would increase cost and require thinning the leather, creating more waste. PU lining is a practical industry-standard choice that balances durability, functionality, and cost while keeping the premium feel on the exterior.
How do I attach the bottom hardware to my DIY bag kit?
First, make sure you’re using the correct screws included in your kit. Using the wrong screws can make assembly difficult.

To attach the hardware: insert the screw from the inside of the leather piece and gently push it outward using the screwdriver from your tool kit. Once it’s protruding, carefully tighten it to secure the hardware.

What is the copper mold engraving service?
Our copper mold engraving service lets you personalize your bag with a name, special date, or simple commemorative design.

We cannot engrave trademarked or copyrighted logos or celebrity names. Suitable engravings include short personal names (e.g., two letters), meaningful dates, or simple line-style patterns.

Engravings should be small, and font lines need to be moderate — too thick or thin lines may cause the leather to rebound or tear.

This is a paid service included in our product links, so you can purchase it according to your needs. You can provide your engraving details and size either in your order notes or by sending them to support@babylonleather.com, and we’ll confirm if it’s suitable.
My leather kit has a noticeable smell. Is it defective or normal?
Yes! Slight odors are common for new leather kits and usually fade after a short time.

Causes: Shipping, storage, leather processing, or contact with packaging materials.
Tips to reduce the smell:
①Air out in a well-ventilated area or under sunlight;
②Avoid humid or sealed storage.
